Unlike the violin the hairs in the erhu bow are in between the strings. The bow is not separate from the instrument. This setup and my carelessness combined equals balding bow. I manage to lose a hair a week due to the bridge 'eating' the hairs. I need Rogaine for violins.

I'm gonna blog more often about the erhu. I'm also going to record videos so other people can coach me. I could look for a teacher locally but I don't have money for lessons. :(
